Bernadette Nugent
Chief Executive Officer (interim)

Bernadette has had more than 30 years’ experience working with families in a variety of settings with a focus on grief and trauma. Bernadette is passionate about not-for-profit organisations and about offering quality programs and services that are relevant, accessible and responsive to the needs of the community they serve. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of interim CEO.

Bernadette joined RTSSV in 2012.

 

Virginia Cummings

Virginia Cummings
Office Manager

Virginia has over 10 years’ experience in the retail and corporate sector, including management roles.  

Virginia volunteered with us, before accepting the role of office manager. She is passionate about customer service, supporting people impacted by road trauma and raising awareness about road safety.

Virginia aims to provide continued support and guidance to the Road Trauma Support Services Victoria team in her role as office manager.

Virginia joined RTSSV in 2017.

 

Chris Harrison

Chris Harrison
Manager, Education Services

Chris has spent more than 20 years' in community work in the fields of drug and alcohol, youth and in education and training. Chris has worked at local, regional and state levels to develop and implement educational programmes and to lobby for different groups at state and federal level.

Originally from regional Victoria, Chris is committed to ensuring state access to metropolitan based programs.

Chris joined RTSSV in 2006.

 

Connie Ogan

Connie Ogan
Manager, Counselling and Support Services (interim)

Connie works primarily in the field of grief, loss, bereavement and trauma. She is passionate about working to help clients heal by offering strategies, education and ongoing support. Connie also runs a private practice one day per week.

Connie has lived experience of road trauma and holds unique insight into how counselling can best respond to the needs of clients.

Connie joined RTSSV in 2016.

Jane Phillips

Jane Phillips
Manager, Counselling and Support Services (interim)

Jane worked originally as a nurse and midwife before completing a degree in psychology and further studies in family therapy and grief counselling. She has been working as a mental health clinician for the past 18 years, with a special interest in grief and trauma.

In 1991, Jane’s father was involved in a serious road collision and sustained life-long injuries. Having experienced the impact this had on her own family, she brings a distinctive personal understanding and perspective to her role.

Jane joined RTSSV in 2017.
